This is an independent research project conducted under the guidance of NYU professor Dr. Milos Bujisic, set to complete by July 2025. The study investigates how Gen Z users perceive their visible interests as authentic expressions of identity, strategic self-presentation, or algorithm-influenced behavior. It combines survey-based quantitative analysis with qualitative interviews to explore how digital platforms shape the expression and interpretation of personal values.
I’m designing and executing the full research pipeline; from literature synthesis to data preparation, statistical analysis, and qualitative coding. This includes developing interest clusters from open-text survey responses, constructing value alignment metrics, and conducting mixed-methods integration to uncover how Gen Z navigates identity under algorithmic influence.
